Poured Staircase: The Tide, Greenwich Peninsular

Through ‘Poured Staircase’, Davenport has created an immersive river of colour that cascades down The Tide staircase in parallel stripes. Davenport is well known for his abstract paintings, which explore process and materiality. The force of the elements such as gravity are important themes in his artwork. In recent years, his work has consisted of carefully poured lines of acrylic paint down a surface, which puddle and pool at the bottom.
